A Carnival cruise ship with 800 COVID-19 cases has landed in Australia, according to ABC.
In total, 3,000 passengers and 1,000 personnel are on board the Majestic Princess.
The vessel moored in the port of Sydney with 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew members. The NSW Department of Health has placed the aircraft at the highest alert level. All arrivals are screened with rapid antigen tests before disembarkation.
According to the cruise company, they began identifying the first infected in the middle of a 12-day cruise. All of them were sick in a mild or asymptomatic form. Those infected were isolated, and all others were ordered to take precautions, including wearing masks.
