According to the Gulf News portal, the UAE authorities have changed the rules for issuing visas for foreign tourists: now the validity of tourist visas has been increased to 60 days, and five-year visas and other new types of documents have appeared.
The new rules came into effect in the UAE on October 3rd. They are designed to make it easier for foreigners to stay in the country, including students, tourists, and job seekers.
Thus, the validity of the tourist visa has been extended from 30 to 60 days. In addition, the Emirates began issuing five-year multi-visas that will allow guests to visit the UAE multiple times and stay there for 180 days a year or 90 days in a row. The visa fee is 650 dirhams or $177. The application can be submitted through the UAEICP application.
Also, graduates of the 500 best universities in the world and highly qualified specialists can now apply for a special entry visa to find a job.
The UAE authorities have also approved another new type of visa – a five-year resident Green Residence. Holders of such a visa will be able to sponsor their close relatives and easily obtain a residence permit for themselves and their family members. Three categories of foreign citizens will be able to obtain such a visa: freelancers / self-employed, qualified employees, investors, and partners.
The UAE has also introduced visas to explore investment and business opportunities without the need for confirmation from a sponsor or host.
