In Thailand, on the island of Phuket, an online visa extension system has been introduced for foreign tourists.
As reported by VisaGuide.World, the Border Patrol Commissioner announced that foreigners residing on the island on any of the 12 types of visas can now apply for visa extensions online.
This measure is designed to streamline the immigration process, making it more efficient and convenient for tourists. The system, called “E-Extension”, is already operational at various immigration offices in the country. Currently, tourists can avail the service at border control in Bangkok and immigration offices in Chon Buri, Chiang Mai and Phuket — some of the most populated places in Thailand.
Thailand continues to actively develop tourism. Total tourist traffic through Phuket Airport in December is expected to reach an impressive 350,000 for the country.
