The Saudi Arabian Tourism Authority has secured a positive decision from the authorities to issue multiple-entry visas to tourists with a Hayya Card. It is a must for attending the World Cup matches in neighboring Qatar.
For the first time in history, fans will be able to enter Saudi Arabia for free. To make it even easier for Hayya cardholders, the “Hayya with me 1+3” scheme is being introduced. This means that each Hayya Cardholder can invite and bring three additional travel companions.
Visas are issued free of charge, they will allow you to stay in Saudi Arabia for 60 days, starting from December 10, that is, 10 days before the start of the tournament. Hayya Card holders will be able to apply for a visa online and book a trip without having to register in Doha.
Saudi Arabia is near the World Cup, making it a practical and convenient place to stay for guests of the competition.
Hayya Card is obligatory for all participants and fans. Only its owners will be able to enter Qatar and enter the stadiums.
Flag carrier SAUDIA operates 40 daily shuttle flights to Doha from Jeddah and Riyadh. On match days, the Saudi national team will increase the frequency to 60 flights a day. The Salwa border crossing, located on the only land border with Qatar, will also be opened to traffic and its capacity will increase to 24,000 vehicles per day.
Saudi Arabia is home to 6 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, more than 10,000 archaeological sites, as well as the mountainous region of Asir, which includes Rijal Alma, recognized by the UNWTO as the “Best Tourist Village” in 2021, and Jeddah Arts and Culture Center.
