Croatia entered the Schengen visa agreement on January 1

Croatia became a member of the Schengen Visa Agreement on January 1st. This is stated in the message of the Council of the European Union on its website.

It is specified that now between Croatia and other countries of the Schengen zone, inspections at border crossings are canceled, and from March 26, checks at internal air borders will be canceled.

In addition, Croatia received the right to issue Schengen visas and use the Schengen information system.
