The national airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways, which flies to Ukraine from Abu Dhabi, said that tourists can now take their cats and dogs to the cabin of the airliner. Thus, Ukrainians have the opportunity to rest abroad without having to part with their pets, even in the seat of the plane. The relevant information appeared on the official website of the airline.
The air carrier reminded that tourists aged 18 and over can now transport pets. The airline also stressed that pets will not be accepted on flights of partner airlines.
It is specified that travelers who bought a ticket to the economy class, can place a carrying bag with a pet under the seat or buy the right to ride the animal in a nearby place. The site states that the travel bag / cage for pets should not exceed the allowable dimensions: 40 x 40 x 22 cm (length x width x height) – for placement underfoot and 50 x 43 x 50 cm – if the pet goes to next seat.
Business or first class passengers will be able to buy a neighboring place for pets. A travel bag for pets should not exceed 50 x 43 x 50 cm. In this case, the cat or dog should be at least 16 weeks, and its weight should not exceed 8 kg, including a travel bag or cage.
To board a flight with animals, travelers must present a special questionnaire – “Form of booking live animals on board” no later than 72 hours before departure. Prior notice and restrictions apply depending on where and where the passenger is flying.
Payment
For economy class, the fare is $ 150 (almost UAH 4,000) for a flight for flights lasting six hours or less and $ 250 (UAH 6,700) for flights lasting more than six hours. If passengers make a change, the combined price is applied. Business and first class passengers must purchase additional pet seats in advance.
In the case of animals that do not meet the requirements for carriage in the cabin, they may be transported in the cargo compartment.
