Research company Euromonitor International has published its annual ranking of the most visited cities in the world by tourists in 2023.
Thus, Turkish Istanbul leads the TOP 10 in receiving foreign tourists. By the end of the year, the city will receive more than 20 million guests from abroad. This is 26% more than in 2022.
In second place is the British capital London with 18.8 million tourists, in third place is Dubai (UAE) with 16.8 million guests.
The top five are completed by Antalya in Turkey (16.5 million) and the capital of France, Paris (15.5 million).
The top ten also include Hong Kong (14.7 million), Bangkok (12.2 million), New York (11.7 million), Cancun, and Mecca (10.8 million each).
Euromonitor experts believe that international travel is actively recovering and by the end of the outgoing year, the global tourist flow will reach 1.3 billion people.
