An unpleasant incident occurred on a flight from Dubai to Manchester. Mohammed Razak, 29, harassed a flight attendant and threatened another flight attendant with physical harm.
According to the Daily Mail, the man “tried to drown his grief in alcohol” after a failed wedding.
“At the time of the incident, the man was driving home after his wedding in Pakistan. In court, Razak said he overdid it with alcohol before boarding the flight. As the brawler explained, he tried to drown his sorrows, because the family did not approve of his new marriage and the choice of a bride,” – writes the publication.
Flight attendants added that Razak continued to drink on the plane. When the staff noticed a change in the man’s behavior, it was decided to stop serving alcohol. Then the dissatisfied passenger began to beg for alcohol from the neighbors, who also refused to help him.
According to PYOK, the brawler lost control and came into conflict with the aircraft’s personnel.
“Razak harassed the flight attendant: he pinched her when she bent down to collect debris from the cabin floor. He then threatened to fight the male flight attendant and told the general manager that he would “bite off his nose, ears and burn it.” Moving from words to deeds, he began to destroy the cabin, until he passed out from intoxication. The flight continued as planned, and the culprit was arrested upon arrival. According to an Emirates airline report, the repair of the damage caused by Razak cost them 200 pounds,” adds the media information.
The unfortunate newlywed received 18 months in prison: he received a sentence for drunkenness on a plane, a fight, sexual assault, and causing criminal damage.
