Negotiations are good, but we need to get results as soon as possible that will lead to a ceasefire in Ukraine. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Ankara at a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
He, in turn, confirmed that Turkey was sending humanitarian aid to Ukraine and said that given the emerging conditions, Ankara would decide whether to buy more Russian weapons.
The United States imposed sanctions on Turkey in December 2020 over a deal to supply Russian S-400 missile defense systems.
