Resting and sleeping on a flight can be quite a challenge, but choosing the right seat on board makes the task a little easier. Experts in the field of travel recommend that tourists always book the left side of the plane, writes the British publication The Sun.
Seats near the window are convenient because they can be used as a support for the head while sleeping. And it is on the left side of the plane that there is more space for such support. This is due to the location of the windows. On the left, they are usually not directly in the center due to the plane door, which makes it possible to lean against the wall and settle more comfortably.
Also, seats near the window are great for sleeping because other passengers don’t wake up the sleeping person when they go to the toilet.
According to a Boeing study, a window seat even reduces the chance of getting sick because there is constant contact with fewer people. Aisle passengers come into contact with an average of 64 passengers passing by or sitting in other rows. The one sitting by the window is in contact only with 12.
Experts note that before reserving a seat by the window, it is important to make sure that the window really is there. Some planes do not have windows in some places inside the cabin.
