Tourists in Antalya were warned about the danger: the hellish heat will spread to the resort – the “heat explosion”, which previously covered Europe, will now spread to Turkey. Such a statement for tourists was made by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Turkey. He noted that hot weather awaits the country until the end of this week, with temperatures up to +45 degrees.
He recalled the “temperature rise to record values in Europe, where unimaginable temperatures gradually drop to +50 degrees, returning to a relatively acceptable +35 for summer, but, according to the forecaster, the heat caused by the “heat explosion” from the Sahara will move to Turkey.
“Heat waves from the Sahara desert will now spread to Turkey as well. Moreover, if the temperature in Istanbul and the north of Turkey is around 35 degrees, then in the south, on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, it will be 40-45 degrees this weekend, and the water temperature will be 25-26 degrees,” Turkish mass media quoted him as saying.
Let’s add that the heat will reach +43 on the weekend. Relief for tourists is promised closer to the end of the week – on Monday-Tuesday Antalya will still be hot for 40 degrees. Only by Thursday it is promised to cool down to the “normal” for summer at +33 degrees.
