Tourists vacationing in Hurghada are most exposed to solar radiation. At least such a conclusion can be drawn from the report of Egyptian meteorologists who conduct annual environmental statistics.
Among other indicators, they record the annual level of solar radiation in the cities of Egypt. Hurghada was also among them, where the highest level of solar radiation in Egypt turned out to be 30.6 MJ/m2 at the monitoring station in Hurghada. The rest of the leaders are not resorting cities, so 30.2 MJ/m2 was recorded at the Kharga monitoring station, then 29.8 MJ/m2. m2 at the Farafra monitoring station.
By the way, the highest average monthly maximum temperature in Egypt during 2020 was 43.4 degrees Celsius in July at the monitoring station in the Kharga oasis. And the coldest was in Aswan – “only” 30 degrees Celsius in July.
