On the eve of the ski season, the Bulgarian authorities decided to ease the rules of “coronavirus safety” for foreign tourists, including Ukrainians. For the most part, this event will affect accommodation.
According to a statement published by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic (link), from December 18, tourists will be allowed to stay in a hotel in the country’s ski resorts and use the ski infrastructure without presenting certificates of coronavirus safety – that is, vaccination certificates or PCR test. However, tourists still need these documents to enter the country.

In addition, a certificate of vaccination, a certificate of coronavirus or PCR test no older than 72 hours will be required for tourists to visit most of the “additional” infrastructure: documents require restaurants, spas, thermal resorts and more.
Also, the resorts officially retain the need to adhere to the social distance and the mask regime. Masks are needed in pharmacies, shops, restaurants and banks, as well as on public transport.
