The first resort in Turkey ended the season and closed its hotels – we are talking about Kemer. As reported by Turizm Ajansi, the president of the Kemer Association of Tourist Hoteliers and Operators (KETOB), Dincer Sarikaya, presenting information on the latest hotel occupancy situation in the area, said that most hotels in the area have finished the season and closed their facilities.
“The open hotels are 75% full, and half of the load is provided by local tourists,” Sarikaya also said. At the same time, the expert added that the “closed” resort was generally successful. “We are close to the target indicators in terms of budget revenues,” – assessed the Turkish expert.
His words were supplemented by the president of the Kemer Promotion Fund, Volkan Yorulmaz. He, in turn, stated that Kemer is not at the top of tourist preferences at the end of the season due to its distance from Antalya airport. At the same time, there will be traffic in other resorts in winter as well.
“The hotels located close to the city center have high occupancy both on the European and the domestic market. There is also something to do in the city. We expect a significant number of tourists,” he assessed.
