Muscat International Airport in Oman has been named the best in the world according to a study by AirHelp Inc.
The National reports that experts assessed more than 4,000 airports based on on-time performance, passenger feedback, punctuality, and other criteria.
The top 5 best airports are as follows:
- Muscat International Airport in Oman;
- Recife/Guararapes – Gilberto Freyre International in Brazil;
- Cape Town International in South Africa;
- Brasilia – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International in Brazil;
- Hamad International Airport in Doha.
Rounding out the top ten are two more Brazilian hubs and three in Japan, including Tokyo’s Narita.
The top 5 worst airports look like this:
- Banjarmasin Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Indonesia;
- International Airport in Malta;
- Gatwick in London;
- Humberto Delgado in Lisbon;
- Nikola Tesla in Belgrade.
The remaining five spots are Denpasar in Bali, Pearson Airport in Toronto, Sofia in Bulgaria, Marseille Provence in France, and another airport in Indonesia.
