Elon Musk’s SpaceX has announced the launch of Starlink Aviation high-speed satellite Internet service for aircraft passengers, Dip.org.ua reports with reference to the SpaceX website.
The Starlink Aviation project website specifies that the connection speed on the airliners will reach 350 megabits per second, which will allow all passengers to simultaneously access streaming Internet.

“With a latency of just 20 milliseconds, passengers can engage in activities previously unavailable in flight, including video calls, online gaming, virtual private networks and other high data rate activities,” the statement said.
The company promises to provide high-speed Internet access in a number of aircraft throughout the flight from 2023.
To connect to the program on board the aircraft, it will be necessary to install special equipment worth 150,000 dollars. The subscription fee ranges from 12.5 thousand to 25 thousand dollars per month. The set of equipment can already be booked on the SpaceX website for $5,000, but deliveries will begin in 2023.
