Scientists from the Arab Association for the Protection of Wildlife (AFWP) have named one of the possible reasons why sharks began to attack people in Hurghada (Egypt).
So, the practice of feeding fish from the side of tourist boats could become the cause of shark attacks.
Scientists clarify that it is unnatural for a shark to attack a person. But the problem arises because the organizers of sea trips, trying to attract sharks for the entertainment of tourists, feed the fish with unusual food, such as meat.
Also, on some boats for tourists, fish is fried and leftover food is thrown overboard. It also attracts sharks, who associate the presence of tour boats with the presence of food.
