Tour operators are feeling the growing impact of the restrictions airlines have faced due to sanctions and the blocking of their aircraft abroad.
On the evening of March 4, travel agencies began to receive messages from TUI Russia: the tour operator warned partners that in the period from March 5 to March 31, two airlines, S7 and Ural Airlines, canceled their flight program to Egypt. “For all previously booked applications, alternative vacation options are offered. You can: Cancel the application and rebook the tour to any open destination from the TUI Russia range at the current price on the site • Keep the paid funds on deposit,” the tour operator said. At the same time, TUI Russia partners received notifications with offers to cancel or rebook tours to Turkey with S7 flights from March 5 to April 30.
Newsletter to agencies in the evening was also made by Coral Travel, cooperating with the Royal Flight airline. “In the period up to March 28, import flights from all cities of departure to all destinations have been cancelled. The export of tourists with departure dates on March 5 and later will be carried out by special flights, while the departure date may differ from that indicated on the ticket, ”the tour operator warned. For those who were supposed to fly abroad these days, Coral also offers to rebook tours for alternative dates and destinations at the current cost.
Tour operators have yet to comment on the situation. Judging by reports from Egypt, there are cases when tourists were unable to return to Russia as early as March 4. “Definitely not flying. They are being taken to another hotel, ”one of the tourists wrote, specifying that we are talking about S7.
Earlier, S7 Airlines after the incident in Yerevan, where one of the airliners was detained, officially canceled all foreign flights. Uralskiye also faced the blocking of one of the aircraft in Dubai, after which the company also began to cancel flight programs.
