A rating of countries that are most interested in tourists in 2022 has been compiled, Dip.org.ua reports with reference to TravelDailyNews.
To do this, we used data from Google search queries over the past 12 months. Turkey topped the rankings with 102,100 monthly searches. According to Holidu specialists, the country has become a clear favorite due to the variety of recreation formats. Tourists can choose a beach trip to Antalya, a weekend in Istanbul or a romantic trip to Cappadocia.
In second place is Greece with about 90,000 queries per month. According to experts, the country offers an incredible number of attractions for lovers of archeology, history, art and philosophy, as well as several beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters.
The Maldives rounded out the top three most popular destinations with over 83,000 searches per month. It is specified that the popularity of the islands in the Indian Ocean has increased dramatically in recent years. First of all, thanks to the white sandy beaches, turquoise-blue water and the vibrant underwater world.
The ranking of the top 10 popular countries to travel this year is as follows:
