In the Indian village of Salki, a 10-year-old boy was torn to pieces by a pack of monkeys. It was not possible to save the child, reports the Daily Star.
10-year-old Deepak Thakor was reportedly playing outside with friends when he was attacked by a pack of angry monkeys. The monkeys maimed the child so badly that there was no chance of saving him.
“When he was brought to the hospital, all that remained was to declare death. The boy’s intestines were torn out,” said doctors at the local hospital.
Officials noted that this was the third monkey attack on people in the village over the past week.
Forestry officials in the area confirmed they were trying to catch a large troop of monkeys rampaging through the village. Some animals have been captured, others are still running around the village.
