A walk through the picturesque places of Antalya province ended in tragedy – five tourists fell into a well, and one died. It all happened on a popular route on the Egrigol plateau.
According to the publication, a group of 30 tourists – their nationality was not specified – went on an excursion to the Gundogan region. Their route included a popular excursion in the foothills of Mount Geyik to the Egrigöl plateau near the lake of the same name – the area is called the “Alps of Antalya”.
However, instead of a pleasant walk, an emergency happened. Five tourists strayed from their route and ended up falling into a well in the area. Their friends quickly reported to the 112 emergency center, and AFAD (local Ministry of Emergency Situations), gendarmerie and forestry workers arrived.
As a result, one of the tourists died, and the other four were sent to the hospital. Their condition is satisfactory.
