The alarm bell rang for the famous resort in Turkey. In Bodrum, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mugla province, water outages began. In some places, water has not been given for 10 days.
As the Turkish publication Turizm Guncel explains, the lack of water is observed due to the drying up of two reservoirs – the Mumjul and Heyik dams, which feed the area. Because of this, frequent water outages occur, although so far we are talking about private houses — in the Chirkan district, water outages occur for a period of up to 10 days, and water is delivered there by tankers.
Despite everything, the hotel authorities try not to restrict, so as not to scare tourists. But if the situation worsens, the shortage of water will also affect hotels.
And the situation continues to worsen due to the weather, although it is good for the continuation of the tourist season. So, now the temperature at the resort is very high – about +29-30, and only by the end of the week it is predicted to cool down slightly – up to +26. At the same time, no rain is promised for at least the next two weeks…
