The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has developed standards allowing tourists to travel the world without paper documents – without passports and visas.
The organization has presented a draft “Recommended Practice for Digitization of Tolerances” designed to enable air passengers to verify their right to enter their destination electronically.
The new rules will eliminate the need to communicate with the airline staff at check-in counters.
The Digitalization of Admissibility standards will help passengers obtain all necessary permits digitally and send them to the carrier in advance. With OK to Fly status, they can avoid document checks at the airport.
