The reckless act of a man shocked the mayor of Venice: Luigi Brugnaro posted a video with a “jumper” on social networks and promised to punish him.
According to CNN, Italian police are looking for a man who jumped from a three-story building into a canal in Venice.
“This ‘thing’ needs to be given a STUPID certificate and a lot of kicks… we’re trying to identify him and his buddy who made the stupid social media video,” Venice Mayor Brugnaro tweeted.

According to the mayor, they are trying to figure out not only the men themselves but also investigating the fact of penetration on the roof of a private house. Brugnaro called on social media users to help them with this and asked them not to like the video.
“He (the jumper) not only risked his life but also broke the law. What if there was a boat passing underneath?” – adds the mayor.
According to statistics, this is not the only example of dangerous behavior in Italy. Last year, more than 40 tourists were arrested for swimming (and in the nude) in the canals of Venice, and one was arrested for surfing the Grand Canal. An American tourist was fined in Rome for causing $25,000 in damage by throwing her e-scooter off the Spanish Steps.
A tourist from Saudi Arabia, who was also punished, drove up the same stairs in a rented Maserati. Another vacationer drove a car over the Ponte Vecchio footbridge in Florence, and another took a ride on a moped through the ruins of Pompeii. Tourists also smashed statues at the Vatican Museum while initialing landmarks.
