He went crazy and attacked people: A tourist from Kazakhstan was arrested in Thailand

Police have arrested a tourist from Kazakhstan for “attacking people and destroying property” on Haad Rin Beach in Koh Phangan, Thailand. This was reported by the local TV channel “CH3”.

The Koh Phangan police received a report that a foreign tourist was “going crazy” on Haad Rin Beach.

“It was alleged that he harassed and attacked residents, destroying their property at the resort and restaurants along the beach,” CH3 reports.

When local law enforcement officers tried to detain the Kazakhstani, he jumped off the pier and climbed onto a rock in the middle of the sea, trying to avoid arrest.

“There he vigorously waved his arms and shouted something in Kazakh (actually in Russian – approx.), As can be seen from the video,” writes the Thai edition of ThaiRath.

Police say the man was on the beach with two girlfriends who, along with police, tried to convince him to get out of the sea and take responsibility for his actions. It is noted that the language barrier prevented the police from negotiating with him.

According to the CH3 TV channel, the Kazakhstani, whose age and identity were not disclosed, explained to the police that he had gone berserk because of drinking beer and smoking cannabis. The man assured me that he would compensate me for the material damage caused.
