Greece Targets Holidaymakers with Winter Price Cuts: Stays from €60 Now on Offer

Курорти Північної Греції запускають зимовий демпінг — студії та апартаменти за €60–100 і великі будинки від €300. Спеціальні пропозиції на Різдво та Новий рік вже викликали ажіотаж серед туристів.

This year’s extended holiday period has turned into an opportunity for Northern Greece’s seaside resorts, which are now actively competing for winter tourists from Bulgaria and neighbouring countries. Many coastal destinations along the Aegean Sea have launched special holiday offers tailored specifically for Christmas and New Year travelers.

Accommodation providers are advertising attractive prices: studios and apartments cost between €60 and €100 per night, while large villas for groups of up to 14 people range from €300 to €400. According to tour operators, Bulgarian holidaymakers are showing strong interest, with bookings for late December rising rapidly.

The most popular destinations include Halkidiki, Kavala, Alexandroupolis, Keramoti, Asprovalta and Nea Peramos. Many complexes in these regions operate year-round and offer heating, festive decorations and winter amenities — factors that make them appealing despite the absence of beach weather.

Local business owners say the strategy is simple: low-season discounts help fill rooms and draw travelers who value a mild climate, seaside walks and cosy evenings in tavernas. As a result, demand for New Year’s stays appears to be heading for a record.

Property owners report that dates such as December 30–31 are already nearly sold out, particularly larger apartments and houses suitable for families and groups.
