Tourists who ignore the mask regime in Thailand have been severely warned by the Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCSA) in Thailand. Representatives of the Center said that in Thailand, there is still a mask regime and tourists who ignore it, face fines – the more serious the violation, the higher the amount.
According to CCSA representatives on Facebook, the maximum fine was 20 thousand baht (which is a considerable amount – about 17 thousand hryvnias). Those who violated the mask regime once face a fine of up to 1,000 baht (UAH 850). The second violation entails a fine of 1,000 to 10,000 baht. A recidivist carries a fine of 10,000 to 20,000 baht.
The mask regime in the country has been in force since March 2020. According to the official order, it will be stopped only if the situation with Covid-19 in the country improves or the state of emergency decree is repealed.
It will be recalled that Thailand plans to ease restrictions on tourists in the near future. In particular – return the program Test & Go.
