The Ministry of Tourism of Egypt urges foreigners to refuse nude photo shoots and respect the traditions of the country.
The agency said in a statement: “We ask you to adhere to the rules and laws of Egypt when visiting museums and attractions “in order to preserve the country’s tourist reputation.”
The statement was made public after an incident that happened on Monday, November 7: at the pyramids in Giza, a tourist undressed to be photographed against the backdrop of the Sphinx. She was called to order by security officers, pointing out the violation of the laws and customs of Egypt. The nationality of the tourist is not called.
