According to China Central Television, an earthquake occurred in northwestern China, killing 118 people.
An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 was recorded last night at 23:59 local time in Jishishan-Bao’an-Dongxiang-Salar Autonomous County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, northwestern Chinese province of Gansu.
According to the TV channel, 105 deaths are currently known in Gansu province and 13 in Qinghai province.
In Qinghai province, contact was also lost with 20 people, and another 182 people were injured.
