Dolphin attacks on humans are on the rise in Japan

According to the NHK TV channel, cases of dolphin attacks on people have become more frequent in Japan.

So, in just one day – Friday, July 29 – in the city of Fukui, two people complained of being bitten by dolphins.

The city administration is trying to take measures to scare away dolphins – it uses ultrasound, puts additional buoys, and warns the population about the danger. Temporarily had to close the city beach. Watching dolphins is recommended from afar.

Earlier, there was a case here when a dolphin pursued a diver at a depth of 6 m, tried to bite the diving equipment, and behaved aggressively.

It is noted that dolphins off the coast of Fukui began to appear in May, and in July they began to receive signals about their attacks on people.
