According to the Detik portal, the governor of the Indonesian island of Bali, Wayan Coster, has published a list of 12 recommendations and 8 bans for foreign tourists.
Thus, foreigners are prohibited from entering the fenced area of sacred places, including temples; climbing sacred trees; being photographed in immodest clothes / without clothes; throwing garbage in nature; use disposable plastic bags and straws.
A separate mention is “rudeness, impolite behavior, making noise and aggressive actions towards government officials, the government, local communities and guides directly or indirectly through social networks.”

Among the recommendations – visit the sights, be accompanied by licensed guides; exchange currency only through authorized operators (KUPVA), and drive a car according to Indonesian traffic rules.
Koster said that foreigners who violate these rules will be subject to “strict measures in the form of sanctions or legal proceedings by the laws in force in Indonesia.”
The document comes into force today, May 31, 2023.
