Another Gulf state is lifting entry restrictions for tourists

From February 20, the Bahraini authorities will abolish mandatory PCR testing and quarantine for those entering the country. Until now, the island state has had some of the most severe coronavirus restrictions in the region.

Information on the lifting of restrictions was disseminated by the Bahraini Civil Aviation Authority.

“The rules of entry through Bahrain International Airport have been changed since February 20, 2022. PCR testing for coronavirus at the entrance to the kingdom is canceled for all arrivals. Also, for all those who enter Bahrain, the quarantine is abolished, “the resolution reads.

The Kingdom has one of the highest rates of vaccination in the world. Of the 1.7 million people living in the country, both doses of the vaccine received 1.2 million, and more than 950 thousand have already received a booster dose of the drug.
