Travel trends analyst Mabrian has presented its forecast of the most popular European destinations for travelers in 2024, compiled using artificial intelligence.
Mabrian, according to Euronews, used neural networks to analyze spontaneous conversations about travel on social networks from January to October 2023. More than 380 million tourism mentions were analyzed to identify people’s different motivations for travel.
The study revealed a global trend towards more emotional and less traditional travel motives in recent years. The international accessibility of destinations in terms of air travel was also analyzed.
Italy tops the list with four potentially popular destinations, including Piedmont, thanks to its combination of culture, nature, and gastronomy. Second place is Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France, famous for its vineyards and oysters, and third is East Anglia, offering a balance of cultural and natural attractions easily accessible from London.
France with Occitania, Germany with North Rhine-Westphalia, and Portugal with Lisbon are also on the list of potential trending destinations in 2024.
