A yacht with tourists caught fire off the coast of the famous Egyptian resort of Marsa Alam in the Red Sea.
Previously, “the fire caused a short circuit in the engine room.” On board, the pleasure craft were 15 passengers from the UK and 10 crew members, and two guides. Three British citizens are missing, a search is underway for them.
“12 tourists, crew, and guides have been rescued, and searches are underway for the missing three people,” the administration of the Red Sea province said in a statement.
The boat was carrying tourists to the place for scuba diving. The ship was 25 kilometers from the Marsa Alam resort when the fire broke out.
Earlier, we recall, a tragedy occurred near the beach of another popular Egyptian resort of Hurghada – a cannibal shark tore to pieces a 23-year-old guy in front of his father.
