According to the American media, the plane that took off from North Carolina was in a dangerous situation.
“Right during the flight, the pilots noticed a leak from the air conditioning system. The plane made an emergency landing in Charlotte in time, and the flight was canceled. The plane landed safely and no one was hurt,” the sources write.
According to WSOCTV.com, in connection with the incident, the airport was temporarily reduced to one runway. According to FlightAware, flight delays from Charlotte/Douglas Airport averaged two hours.
A video of the incident went viral on Twitter thanks to tourists at the airport, and one of the passengers made a confession.
“Thanks for the video… I was sitting on the left side of the plane. We had no idea it was that serious,” one commenter wrote.

According to eyewitnesses, the pilot remained calm and explained that the plane had to return to Charlotte for inspection. Some passengers were not convinced by this – they panicked.
“My neighbor was about tears, and the other girl consoled her with the words:” Everything is fine. It’s not normal, but we’ll be fine,” Channel 4 quoted Joan Webster, who was on board at the time of the incident, as saying.
The airline posted an official statement on its website: “Due to a mechanical problem with the aircraft, we have canceled the flight. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
