A real scandal erupted in the Turkish resort town of Bodrum, whose hotels are located on the shores of the famous Camel Beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the peninsula and was awarded the UNESCO Blue Flag. The new luxury hotel of the prestigious chain Palmet Bodrum 4 *, built on the eve of the summer season, was suddenly closed by order of the local authorities. About 200 tourists, including Russians, were evicted from their rooms with the help of the police.
The operation of the hotel was suspended due to the lack of treatment facilities. The hotel, which repeatedly polluted the environment in the past, was sealed by the police several times, but the resort did not take any action. The authorities were forced to take extreme measures and evict tourists from the hotel.
