The heat wave, which continues in Spain for the fifth day, has claimed the lives of almost 240 people, Spanish news agency EFE reported.
According to him, the Ministry of Health of the country calculated that from July 10 to 14 inclusive, 237 people died as a result of extremely high temperatures.
The Spanish Meteorological Service has raised the alert level due to weather conditions in most regions to “yellow” (dangerous) and “orange” (very dangerous). In some provinces, the danger level has been raised to the highest – “red” (extremely dangerous). Temperatures are expected to reach almost 45 degrees Celsius.
