“Slovenia is introducing a passenger search form for passengers traveling by plane and ship on 16 August to make it easier to track contacts. Each passenger will have to fill out their own questionnaire, including passengers traveling together as a family or group, “the ministry said in a statement.
However, it was noted that passengers who remain only in the transit zone of any airport in Slovenia, as well as crew members of aircraft and ships, will not be required to comply with this requirement. Persons traveling by bus, train or personal vehicle are also exempt from this obligation.
Passenger Search Forms (PLFs) are used by the Slovenian health authorities to facilitate the tracking of travelers’ contacts in the event that they become infected with COVID-19 during the journey.
Thus, all the information provided in the search form is used only for quick contact with travelers, as well as to protect the health of the population and prevent further spread of the disease.
“The information provided by travelers to the PLF will be used by the Department of Epidemiology of the Slovenian National Institute of Public Health to quickly establish contact with travelers and their contacts in order to protect their health and prevent further spread of the disease,” the statement said. message from the Ministry.
There are currently severe restrictions in Slovenia on travelers who have not been vaccinated or have not been cured of COVID-19.
On the contrary, persons holding an EU digital certificate for COVID-19 can enter the territory of Slovenia without applying self-isolation measures.
Those who decide to provide a vaccination certificate should keep in mind that Slovenia only accepts vaccines approved for use by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). This means that only persons vaccinated with Pfizer / BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson are considered fully vaccinated.
For travelers who have not been vaccinated, they can either give a negative PCR test performed within 72 hours or a certificate of recovery confirming that they have previously been infected with COVID-19.
