The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia increased by 36,339 overnight and reached 8,131,164.
The victims of the virus in the last 24 hours were 1,036 people, and the total number of patients in the country is currently 227,389 people, Reuters and TASS reported, citing data from the federal operational headquarters for combating the disease. Since the beginning of the pandemic, new nocturnal highs of morbidity and mortality have been registered, the Russian agency reported.
The conditional mortality rate in Russia remains at 2.8 percent. The final figure can be determined only after the end of the epidemic.
