In Turkey, the authorities of the resort province of Antalya intend to tighten control over the illegal rental of housing to tourists.
The police will now pay special attention to cases of renting out real estate to tourists without officially notifying the authorities about it. In addition, citizens are urged to report cases of illegal renting of apartments known to them.
The Governor of Ersin Yazici province held meetings with representatives of tourism and real estate and decided to organize raids and identify cases of illegal rental of housing to tourists after complaints from hoteliers about low occupancy of hotels.
