Russia has struck military targets in Lviv in western Ukraine with high-precision cruise missiles, according to Reuters, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
Russia has used long-range missiles to destroy Ukrainian fuel depots near Lviv and used cruise missiles against a plant in the city that was repairing anti-aircraft systems, radar stations and tank targets, the ministry said. “The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue its offensive operations as part of a special military operation,” the statement said.
Russia has used long-range naval-based missiles to destroy an arsenal of S-300 missiles and Buk anti-aircraft missile systems near Kyiv. Russian forces also killed several drones, the Russian ministry added.
Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that over the past day the Russian Air Force destroyed 67 Ukrainian military facilities, including two command posts, three field depots of weapons and ammunition, 11 bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 20 units of military equipment, according to TASS .
Konashenkov added that since the beginning of the special operation, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 289 drones, 1,656 tanks, 169 multiple rocket launchers, 684 guns and mortars and 1,503 units of special military equipment.
The Ukrainian side does not confirm these data.
