A child was born in the Kyiv metro. A girl named Mia was crying in a subway tunnel where her 23-year-old mother was hiding from rocket fire, according to the Daily Mail.
Mykola Shlapak, a Ukrainian police officer who came to his mother’s aid, said he heard a young woman screaming amid roar shells. Shortly after giving birth, he was able to call an ambulance, and the mother and child were taken to hospital, where they were reported to be OK.
