The National Health Commission of Moldova has introduced new restrictions to combat the spread of coronavirus. The rules will take effect on August 16 and mainly concern entry into the country. This was announced yesterday at a briefing by the head of the Ministry of Health Alla Nemerenko. According to the Minister, everyone who enters Moldova must present one of the following documents:
– certificate of vaccination;
– PCR test for coronavirus, conducted not earlier than 72 years before entering the country;
– antigen test is performed not earlier than after 48 hours;
– certificate of compliance for the last six months or an antibody test lasting at least 90 days.
Citizens who do not have these documents must spend two weeks in isolation. This does not apply to children under the age of 12, students under the age of 18 who come for exams or training, and citizens who come for treatment.
Those who have already spent seven days in quarantine and have not been infected with coronavirus can perform PCR or antigen testing for COVID-19 and, in the event of a negative result, withdraw from self-isolation.
In addition, Nemerenko said that from August 16 in the building of the airport in Chisinau will be able to get only passengers, without senders and greeters.
In the last 24 hours, 6656 tests were performed in Moldova, 283 cases of infection with the new coronavirus were confirmed, 27 of which were imported. According to Moldpress, 261,807 cases of COVID-19 are currently registered in the country.
