Sliced bread is popular with buyers. This is convenient, but it is better not to buy such bread, nutritionists say.
First, sliced bread is a marketing ploy. People like to buy something ready-made because it makes their task easier. This is used by marketers, but this bread is not better, but more expensive.
But the main pity is not in this. Sliced bread spoils faster because the area on which mold is formed increases when sliced. According to nutritionist Olga Alemaikina, sliced bread is also treated with preservatives based on ascorbic acid and ethyl alcohol. It turns out that sliced bread is a “canned” product. This increases the health risks.
In addition, the equipment blades are lubricated with oil for cutting bread on an industrial scale. In this way, the slices do not stick together and look neat, but bread becomes even more harmful to the body.
Therefore, it is better to buy whole grain bread, which is made in a bakery and has a short shelf life.
Experts also advise storing bread on paper or wrapped in a towel. This prevents the formation of mold and keeps the bread soft for a long time.
