The hopes of the World Health Organization for the future of the emergency phase of the COVID-19 pandemic have not materialized. This was told by the head of the organization Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
He says the pandemic has not ended, although the WHO hoped so. He stressed that conditions are still conducive to the emergence of new coronavirus strains, “which can be an important factor in mortality.”
Recall that earlier the head of WHO said that the death rate from coronavirus in the world since February this year has decreased by almost 90% and that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is near.
