At least one person was killed and 31 were injured in an explosion at a nightclub in the Azerbaijani capital Baku this morning, world news agencies reported.
According to the prosecutor’s office, 24 people were hospitalized, six of them in critical condition. According to preliminary data, the cause of the explosion, which occurred at 3 o’clock in the morning, was a gas leak.
AFP added that according to the statement of the Ministry of Emergencies, after the explosion there was a fire, which has already been extinguished. A photo posted on the agency’s website shows rescuers searching for people under the rubble.
