The French should not allow far-right leader Marine Le Pen to win the presidential election, Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn said today, according to Reuters.
Le Pen’s possible victory in the French election is a worrying scenario for the future of the European Union, which the French people must prevent, Asselborn said.
“I am very worried, I hope that Le Pen will not become president of France. This would only lead to a break with the core values of the EU, it would completely change its course. The French must prevent this,” said the Luxembourg minister.
