Ukrainians will be able to issue passports in two more EU countries

The Ukrainian “Passport service” has become available in two more EU countries.

As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Migration Service is expanding the geography of the functioning of separate units of the state-owned enterprise “Dokument” abroad.

“From now on, Ukrainians can issue passport documents not only in Poland and Turkey but also in two more countries of the European Union – Slovakia and the Czech Republic,” the message emphasizes.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified that the test mode has already started accepting applications for documents from Ukrainian citizens in Bratislava and Prague. “Mobile and technical complexes are operating in two capitals of European countries – specially equipped white minibusses with the “Passport service” symbol,” the ministry noted.

Citizens of Ukraine who went abroad because of the war were allowed to receive two passports at once: domestic and foreign. Thus, from May 23, 2022, in Ukraine, it was allowed to receive the service of simultaneous issuance of an ID card and a foreign passport.

From November 1, 2022, the cost of urgent registration of an internal passport, foreign passport, and refugee travel document has increased in Ukraine. In particular, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the cost of issuing a passport of a citizen of Ukraine within 10 days will increase from UAH 252 to UAH 496.
