Poland proposed to the European Union to introduce a complete ban on trade with Russia. This was announced by Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki, quotes Reuters.
According to him, this must be done as soon as possible, including prohibiting maritime and land trade.
“The reduction in trade with Russia will put additional pressure on Russia to consider whether it would be better to end this brutal war.”
The EU has already imposed trade restrictions on Russia in some key sectors, including luxury goods, steel and energy. But Poland, which shares a 535-kilometer border with Ukraine, is among those pushing for tougher sanctions against Russia.
