The Egyptian Museum of Civilization is preparing to receive royal mummies

The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization held a council meeting to discuss the final preparations for the reception of the parade of royal mummies for the coming period.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Anani and was held at the museum’s headquarters in the Fustat district of Cairo.

During the meeting, members of the Board agreed that the Egyptian Committee for Tourism Promotion (ETPB) will launch an advertising campaign for the transfer of royal mummies, which was prepared in advance with the museum.

El-Anani also ordered museum trustees to conduct free tours for visitors to Egypt and school trips inside the museum’s central exhibition hall after its opening.

The commitment to apply all precautions and health measures against the new coronavirus (COVID-19) applied in all museums and archeological sites will be emphasized.

This takes into account social distancing during visits and taking into account the maximum number of visits.

The list of all types of photographs in the museum has also been approved, according to the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

The museum council also agreed to allow Egyptian, Arab and international media to take free photographs in the central exhibition hall for two days after the opening.
